Hey guys, I had my desktop going *great* when I had Windows 7 and first got into mining with my 7950. About 5 months later I had to reformat and made the move up to Windows 8. After doing this, I've been running into one issue after another when it comes to stability and heat, and I'm really not sure what to do. So here's the deal:

Prior to Windows 8:

Hash rate: 580 KH/s at intensity 20
Temp: around 73c

Windows 8:

Hash rate: 260 KH/s with intensity 13
Temp: around 75c

If I boost the intensity to 16, it increases hash to 400 KH/s but also boosts my temp up to 82c+. If I go to intensity 20, temp will boost to 95c+.

*nothing* has changed with the system other than the software. I've run different drivers and appear to be getting nowhere with that. I've also tried different versions of cgminer.

With my limited knowledge of this, I'm finding it hard to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

Drivers I've tried recently:

Catalyst 12.11 Beta 11
Catalyst 13.1
Catalyst 13.10 Beta
Catalyst 13.10 Full
Catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.4
AMD APP SDK v2.9

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks!
