You can use it freely, but do not overdo it, it will make your article too prominent (many colors) it will not be good.

Thank you very much for the source of different beautiful colors, mate.
However, as you emphasized in the OP, users should not overuse the effects because it can make readers feel a litle bit annoying.
In my stance, this one is only (or mainly) helpful in designing signature with BBcodes.
Anyway, highly appreciate your time to do it because it shown your dedication to contribute to the forum.

For anyone who doesn't know, the colors like : 0099FF and CC0099 are called hex colors and so they are not only limited to the ones listed by OP. You can use : http://www.color-hex.com/ to chose any of the infinite colors available.

In such cases it is better to design the thread in photoshop and post images instead of using these color codes. They are mpstly useful for signature designs because there is no alternative to BBCode for it.

Changing the color is not possible in bitcointalk but you may change your username by asking the admins and may cost you money. Better be contented by your username rather than changing it and won't consume any time or cost you money.
