Introducing the one, the only;

 LIVECOIN
( LVC )

Announcing LiveCoin from LiveChains..

No Premine AT ALL Everything done on testnets
200 Coins Per Block Starting Value Halfs Every 2 Years Fixed
& Random Superblocks.

Official Site: - http://livechains.net/livecoin.html

www.live-coins.net
( domain and website will open on the weekend
as a dedicated coin site )

Use this Pool till it's hash picked up a bit - http://lvc.livechains.net/ - needs miners!

What is Livecoin?

It's a brand product, it's a part of LiveChains, and is intended to be in use for many years
to come, we will support and maintain the coin throughout its life.

So why did we make this?

Put simply there are alot of coins out there, alot of "Pump and Dump" we don't want that for our coin, we want it to offer a real VALUE, hence us accepting our own coin for services, the goal is simple, a service coin, accepted for payment of actuall services etc.

The capped limit of coins and almost constantly fixed prices will make the coin fun, with superblocks popping off and of course when we run special events. The coin will get some special treatment, the total coin supply can and will vary slightly to take account of the "mid-season specials". We want you to have fun mining it, and have even more fun making it work for you, we all know you're here to mine this coin with the sole purpose of renting a pool with it and why not.

Added Coin Info - Important Services and Rendering information:

Total Coins - 250,000,000
LCV / USD Services 1000LVC = $1 Of Services, thus, 10,000 Coins will get you a standard pool
Prices Fixed - No we will vary them if needed so that it is possible to mine enough for most people to get at least $10 of services per month.

How Can we afford to do this

Honestly we cant, but that said its not all about the loss, the coin will take 10 years to mine, so in the grand scheme that's approximate $25,000 of Services Per Year that are efficiently given away, or $2000 a month, our growth will more than cover this demand, we already have the resources set aside to provide the services.

If its a loss why do it
Why do people CPU Mine........ Cos they can

What in it for us.

Were a service provider with a coin intended to pay for services, and theres 250,000,000 of em, they whole crypto world will hear about us, we provide crypto services, can you think of a better way to get your brand in front of anyone??? $25,000 a year to be right in front of our target audience 24/7

How long can LiveChains and related services last.
Were already profitable as a company, and development is proceeding at full chat, as it stands right now were in a position to deliver indefinitely.

Exchanges

I wouldn't be surprised if im honest, but its not really the point of the coin, that said, trading services and coins is part and parcel, just remember, there is no way to cash out for Dollars, I'm not that mental, you trade them in for services. If they do make an exchange, they will not be underwritten with value, so don't expect the price to be stable cos there worth only what people will want to pay.

Services on sale from

January 17th - We need the time to get everything finished off, and running correctly, plus were about to perform a massive platform update, it make sense to do this work now, rather than sell more and only make the whole process longer in the future.

Services Available @ Launch
4 Services
2 Variations of Each.

Scheduled Services Launch (a few per month as they are made ready)
30+ Over the life of the coin, and depending on demands or lack off for various products.

- How to solo mine -

1. Start up livecoin-qt, wait for it to load, then exit.
2. Put livecoin.conf (see sample file above) in your c:/users/**yourcomputername**/AppData/Roaming/Livecoin
                                                                   In Unix /home/username/.livecoin/
3. restart livecoin-qt, and you should connect and sync.
4. For solo mining, launch cgminer or the mining program you use and begin mining.
      cgminer ex: cgminer.exe --scrypt -o localhost: -u **yourusername** -p **password** (without **)

Livecoin.conf

rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=livechains.net
rpcpassword=Dontleaveontrainagain
server=1
daemon=1
rpcport=13136
port=13135
addnode=81.98.241.113
addnode=142.4.207.186
addnode=198.27.70.70
addnode=142.4.205.132
addnode=142.4.207.182
addnode=142.4.205.153
addnode=142.4.207.188

addnode=192.95.36.225
addnode=198.100.153.59
addnode=142.4.206.72

Also can use for further connection. http://www.livechains.net/downloads/peers.zip  Just extract and install that into %AppData%\LiveCoin and you should be able to sync up with the additional nodes

If you're having issue with wallet syncing try this:

Unless!! you have coins in wallet... If you have coins in wallet, COPY your appdata/roaming/livecoin/wallet.dat folder and place somewhere safe on desktop. As well use the wallet.dat backup feature in the wallet.

  • Then, uninstall Livecoin,
    restart PC ( unless you have CCcleaner ( than run that once both norm n reg ) )
    Download conf file here --> https://mega.co.nz/#!K4BQhBaI!bjKKrD-S1BPqQxu3Zri0WTcfL8U16uUJzcBgLFVxohA
    Run livecoin setup
    Run livecoin-qt
    Close livecoin-qt
    Place .conf in appdata/roaming/livecoin/
    Place the wallet.dat in the same folder if you had one saved, or if saved with wallet import from there.
    Run livecoin-qt again an wait.

Other suggestions - Per forum commentators -

Quote
From: FamousRocky

I had the same issues after i encrypted my client.

It seems to be that the peer.dat resets automatically after restart the wallet.
In my case i changed the peers.dat (2KB) against your downloaded peers.dat (7KB) and restart the client.

now i got 4 active connections.... try this ^^  Wink
