I recently built a new gaming PC, and shortly after I heard about Bitcoin.
Since Gaming GPU's are more for 3d rendering for gaming, Would workstation/Professional GPU's be better at mining? I've tried to search for anything on workstation cards on the forums and google and found nothing.
more than 95% of structure in so called 'pro' chips are exactly the same
there may be some minor modifications, but most of difference comes from drivers anyway
there is completely no reason to assume that any firegl or quatro card can give better performance for money (or even similar for that matter)
as they are made for pro users (ati top model costs $3500 vs. way more faster 5970 that is around $500) that need some fancy features ie.
FireGL drivers were built with maximum image quality and pixel precision
rather that cheap enormous processing power that gamers require
