Do the pics need to be hosted online or something?

K I figured it out.

Step 1 - Do a search for a free image hosting site...I chose http://imgur.com
Step 2 - Create an account
Step 3 - Upload the pic
Step 4 - Figure out what the URL for the pic is
Step 5 - In your forum post enclose the URL with (url)(/url) except with square brackets

I don't think that's possible.

If you could post a screenshot of what it looks like it would help tremendously

Code:
 [img] www.mypicturehostingservice.com/mygreatlookingpicturewithalongassname.bmp [/img]

BUT! the picture has to be online. You cant "link" to a picture on your computer. Also bitcointalk.org does not host pictures so you need someone else to do it. E.g. imgur.com

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

I think for a lot of people the question was not so much how to use
Code:
[url][/url]
with the Hyperlink button, it was more a question of whether you could upload pictures directly into your profile to use in forum posts.

I think this thread makes it pretty clear that this forum does not host images and that if a person wishes to post a picture they must use a third party image hosting service.

In any event, thanks to everyone for their help.
