Hello guys,
I'm currently mining various Scryptcoins on middlecoin and my HD7850 performs best on Intensity 19 (nearly 350 khash/s). But if I want to do something on the PC like surfing the internet or watching videos in VLC, I have to put the Intensity to 12 (where I have only ~280 khash/s). I want my 70 khash/s back :p.

Has anybody of you an idea, how I can use my onboard HD4250 or the CPU for rendering those simple things (if it's possible). Unfortunately I can't set up a real mining rig, so I have to mine the coins in my normal PC.

Thanks in advance Smiley

Plug your monitor into the motherboard graphic output. It should automatically start using the onboard graphics unless you have to manually enable it via bios in which case do so first. The gpu might be available for mining, if it does not show up you will need to get a dummy plug to enable it.

What is a dummy plug?
Do you mean, I have to put a cable into my graphics card, but in no monitor? And my TV into the mainboards HDMI port?

@Reckman
This could happen :/ I'm  not sure, but I think I heard/read about people with the same board having these problems too.

Is this any different from just plugging in a spare DVI cable into your second GPU? That's what I did..

This. You don't need a dummy plug, as the onboard probably won't even show up! In fact, getting a dummy plug would probably make it worse, as that would activate the PCIe GPU as the primary display.

See if you can even get the onboard video to work with a GPU still installed, and then see if you need a dummy plug.
