Why don't people actually just buy a large stake in a cheap altcoin and invest some time into promoting it and developing it? Only because a coin has been abandoned by its developer or isn't talked about anymore doesn't mean someone else can't just come along and take over, does it? I mean, a lot of coins are on github. Ripe for the developing.

Clearly the strategy of putting out crapcoins has had its day.

This is what I don't understand about Cryptocurrency. If people own a large enough stake in it, then why wouldn't they invest their time in trying to increase its market value? It's not the coins that are the problem, it's this attitude that you can somehow lay back, let everyone else do the work, and get rich.

Looks like those days have gone.
