Time of releasing it may be an advantage. It's old enough to be associated with the success of DOGE or MOON.
And wait a minute! 20 pages already filled with our 'niche hype'.
But we need the dev back... More stable pools would have been nice too.

**INACTIVE QTs ARE A LEADING CAUSE OF COIN DEATH!!** Shocked

I just saw 56 active miners in just the two main pools, but I still only see four peers on fckbankscoin. When someone downloads and sets up a wallet for the first time, it sure doesn't make a good first impression when they see that their connection only gets one tiny little red bar, and, maybe, a little orange one, if they're lucky, or, even worse, no connection at all.

You can't rely on the network to build itself. You ARE the network. It doesn't do any good to have a big list of addnodes if they're all offline.

If you want to see a coin gain traction, the first thing you need to do is get your QT online and keep it online. If you can do it at work, keep one running there, too. If you don't have a job, put one on your grandmother's computer!

If, for some irrational reason, you don't like having your wallet online all the time, then keep your coins in a different QT.

Put fcbankscoin.conf in C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Roaming\fckbankscoin directory. Then run your wallet once more.

It doesn't do any good to put the port on an addnode. I've noticed that it sometimes even prevents a connection. That port that you see in your client's console is the one that your peer's and your node have agreed to use for that particular connection that time, it is not the node you will find that peer on the next time you connect. Fckbankscoin listens for connections on port 21779 by default, there is no need to ever make any adjustments to the p2pport, in fact, doing so almost always causes problems.

Here's that list with a few more, without the ports:
