The original dev said he'd hand the project over to the pirate party and after that never was heard of again. But the community wanted to continue and not give the name to the pirate party, so there is not really a dev.
The situation is a little bit confusing at the moment.
I personally think the coin should be relaunched by the pirate party international movement. (Even though I myself have got a decent amount of pirate coins that i would be willing to give up)
The original dev DID NOT say he'd hand the project to the pirate party, he said he'd hand the project to the PIRATE COIN COMMUNITY. He gave ME the login info, not the Pirate Party. I, too, spent a lot of time mining this coin and I'm not willing to give it up. There is a secret Facebook group created to plan a marketing strategy for this coin. If you would like to join it, add me as a friend and I'll let you in. http://facebook.com/leighann"DID NOT!" "DID SO!" -Kindergarden i'm not responsible for him not announcing it to the community but like i said a few days after he took down the site and did not answer to my pm's anymore i figured he left me to tell you what he said before he left... so here's the said pm:" motd2k Member ** Offline Activity: 75 View Profile Personal Message (Offline) Trust: 0: -0 / +0(0) Re: (No subject) « Sent to: Mike_Rotch on: March 12, 2014, 05:28:21 AM » « You have forwarded or responded to this message. » Reply with quoteQuote ReplyReply Remove this messageDelete I'm happy to hand over the project to the party but I have no intention of joining personally." copied it including the additional info on the left... what i think the community now needs is less renegade approaches but rather a dev... so are you a programmer and if so are you able to take care of everything that has to be taken care of? for example: sycript asics are already in use. Are you ready for to do (at least) a scrypt-n hardfork or do you think asics will be good for the coin? etc. etc.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

What can be done to get the original post in this thread to reflect the correct website? Or to restore the original website?

bobdylan, on the website can we get rid of the 2+ inches of empty space between the top menu and the picture of the coin? I want to promote this in the traffic exchanges, and with the top bar of the traffic exchanges/mailers, you can't see the coin or info. Can you help?

That's much better! Thank you! One more thing... when you type in arrcoin.com you get an error that says, "Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)" But when you type www.arrcoin.com it takes you to the site just fine. Do you know any way to fix that? Also, under "Social" on the website, could you link to the Facebook page and the Subreddit? https://www.facebook.com/PiratecoinPIRhttp://www.reddit.com/r/Piratecoincrypto/Thanks

Fixed the arrcoin.com/www.arrcoin.com issue, sorry I just neglected to add that extra host header. Both should be working now!

Sorry there appears to be only one at the moment - will setup another permanent node soon addnode=85.25.223.7 Thank you. I created the pirate.conf file and added maxconnections=100 to the file and also the addnode=85.25.223.7 and I still have 0 active connections and the wallet is not syncing. Is there anything else I need to do to get the wallet to sync?

I now understand why the dev made the decision to let it be... If you wanna read everything it starts at page 29...
