Bitcoin got a huge boost this week when online electronics retailer Overstock.com began accepting payments via the cryptocurrency, hot on the heels of Zygna starting a Bitcoin pilot. Those two significant brands could be joined by an even bigger name in the US consumer space, Newegg.

Another good news for us!

Excellent. The domino effect. Soon retailers will feel "left out" if they *don't* accept bitcoin. 2014 will be the year bitcoin goes retail in the US. Thanks Overstock, and especially for doing it six months earlier than you said you would Smiley

Finally, I'll be able to buy GPUs from newegg using bitcoins to mine alts to buy bitcoins to buy GPUs from newegg. Life is sweet.

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

It just makes sense. They should have been one of the first! I do understand the whole legality thing being something to look over for such a large company though, so now is definitely better than never!

Another good news for us!

First Zynga and Overstock.
Now Newegg and Verotel.

Mass adoption is right around the corner.
Today is a good day!

Today is a great day in the history of  bitcoin.

Funny how we were all "relying" on China a month ago and now it seems the US retail explosion will cause bitcoin to go mainstream instead. Expect announcements from other big US online retailers before end of January. Domino effect.
