Bitcoin got a huge boost this week when online electronics retailer Overstock.com began accepting payments via the cryptocurrency, hot on the heels of Zygna starting a Bitcoin pilot. Those two significant brands could be joined by an even bigger name in the US consumer space, Newegg.

It just makes sense. They should have been one of the first! I do understand the whole legality thing being something to look over for such a large company though, so now is definitely better than never!

Funny how we were all "relying" on China a month ago and now it seems the US retail explosion will cause bitcoin to go mainstream instead. Expect announcements from other big US online retailers before end of January. Domino effect.
