Selling one brand new HD 5970 for 50000 i0coins (I0C) which is about 38 BTC or 320 USD at current exchange rates:

0.00075 I0C/BTC   http://www.i0coins.info

Yes, I am looking to promote the i0coin currency! It is the alternate cryptocurrency with the fastest block chain (90 seconds per block, 48 I0C per block):

Exchange: http://i0exchange.bitparking.com
Discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=36425.msg487953#msg487953  (link to "i0coin 1.1" when the network was "relaunched" on August 29)
Source download: https://github.com/fusebox/i0coin
Binaries download: https://github.com/fusebox/i0coin/raw/master/I0coinClientv1.zip
i0coin pool: http://i0pool.bitparking.com/pool

Edit: sold to 'twobits' (see last comments)! Yay this was the first tangible good ever to be sold for i0coins. There was enough liquidity on the exchanges for the buyer to get 50k I0C, proving that the market is deep enough.

That's the point, I am asking for i0coins, not bitcoins. I want people to use it! People go crazy spending $700 on 5970s, surely they can bother reading up about i0coins and making a transaction to buy mine, can't they?

(i0coin is spelled with a zero, not with an o, in case you want to google it.)

You don't happen to have a sell order for 45k I0Coins that's been sitting on the bitparking exchange? Cheesy

I spent 2.5 bitcoins to buy 900 i0coins when they first came out. I sold my 900 i0coins for .44 BTC a couple days later. Whoops! That is a pretty cool thing you are doing, although I think it may be futile. Saturating the community with multiple crypto-currencies only devalues BTC in my opinion.

We will see if that is futile or not ;-)

No, I don't have any outstanding order on any exchange. I am going long on i0coins.

Price is now 50k i0c. This corresponds to an even lower 45 BTC, for a brand new HD 5970 at the current exchange rates!

Is there an exchange where I can buy IOCoins?

I'll buy that 5970.

{edit, reading up on exchange now}

There's not enough liquidity at the exchange. Sad

It would cost 70 btc to buy 50k IOcoin, which is like $600. :/ Any chance you'd be ok with 25k IOCoin ($248) and then the remaining $132 in btc?

Volume has been 100k I0C in the past 24 hours, yet the exchange rate has stayed under 0.001 I0C/BTC. So I would say there is enough liquidity. You just have to buy slowly over time.

A few persons have contacted me and seem interested. I will end the offer to sell the 5970 exactly 3 days from now, which leaves plenty enough time to buy 50k i0coins. I must receive payment by September 7 at 07:00 UTC. The block chain timestamp will determine if the sale will proceed or not. I will accept if the payment goes through 1 block late (ie. in the block immediately following 07:00 UTC). I will wait confirmation by an additional 40 blocks (nominally 1 hour) before acknowledging receipt of payment. Shipping is extra and will be arranged at the buyer's convenience (I accept USD/BTC/I0C).

I don't mean to be rude, but you're not going to get a lot of people that actually have i0coins or will use the client after the purchase. That's because this is a Bitcoin marketplace, so people are generally looking to buy things with Bitcoins or USD. It's like trying to get Amazon to accept ixcoins, you're just advertising in the wrong area.

I personally like Bitcoins. Even though they're slow, it's not like I'll need the money within 5 minutes. That's what block explorer is for.

Guys I just realized its not gonna be 38 btc that's if you could buy 50,000 for 0.00075 you can buy a couple hundred but once you buy more the price is gonna go up and by the time you get to your 50,000 coin it will start costing it like 0.0020 per coin instead of 0.00075 so really you'll be spending about 500$ worth in the end because people most people sell it at the lowest price to sell. this is the order of the way you would buy it so after you buy 219 it will go up in price then the next 198 will be more then the 5 then the 20 and when you get to about 10,000 it will be about 0.00098 per i0 then then the next 20,000 will be like 0.0013 i0 then when you get to 20,000 like 0.0016 etc...

Trini8ed: that's only if you buy 50k at once.

30k-100k I0C have been bought, daily, for the past few days with the price staying under .001 BTC.

Woot! A buyer actually did take the offer and sent me 50k i0coins, barely 1h before the time limit! This is the first time ever that a physical good is being purchased with i0coins to my knowledge. At current exchanges rates, that's 40 BTC or 288 USD for that new AMD Radeon HD 5970. That will prove to all the pessimists above that it was possible to grab this deal without too much trouble. On a second thought I should have priced it higher. Oh well Tongue

For the record the txid was a3a387066cdad641f71c318993301f662f192765cb5a240e0ff46385e5998cca

However the mystery buyer hasn't yet attempted to contact me... Please reply to this thread!
