Too few really innovative currencies... and i think future will be with scrypt-jane (less heat, less temperature, scrypt asic proof etc) and even more complicated algorithms, maybe even also with BOINC implemented.

That sounds like clever stuff, and I hope someone does make a currency/BOINC thing. Right now someone is already working on this, I feel it.

Do I just get the litecoin code, swap out a few bits for my new branding, and run it ? Is it that noob-easy ?

Not really if its just for lulz, your PC/laptop on 24/7 running the wallet will be enough if you get a static IP to give as an addnode=
