Reminds me a lot of the cracked.com writing style actually, nothing wrong with it, you just have to not be pompous and expect your literature to be profanity free.

commandeered a helicopter, and landed it right in the middle of the fucking exercise yard of the prison in broad daylight.

Does not bother me at all, just not my favorite style. But the story is great.
