Why Kucoin's trading volume is very low?

Kucoin has earned a good reputation as a crytpocurrency exchange. But its trading volume is very low. What is the main reasons behind it. Though it is a new exchange, ETH/BTC 24h volume is 2.2 m where HitBTC volume is BTC/USDT 68m and ETH/BTC 27m.

Hitbtc is among the top 10 exchanges around, although if you are going to look around the forum there are a lot of scam accusations against them. Just like you said Kucoin is fairly new, maybe it still hasn't gain the trust as of now that's why not much trading is going around on their exchanges.

If you're looking at volume in terms of US dollars, then of course the volume crashed due to the fact that the prices of all the coins crashed (meaning that they're going to look like they have less volume in USD) If you compare this to the amounts of bitcoin they have volume in, it's not much of an issue at all -- check out this reddit thread for more in-depth explanations on the topic (https://www.reddit.com/r/kucoin/comments/7rp089/volume_on_kucoin_what_happened/)

Anything has a process and cant really be achieve overtime. We do see the potential on ranking up but if volume would still remain in a matter of time then its expected that he wont able to move up because traders do make always prefer to trade up into other exchange than on Kucoin itself.Talking about issues then it cant really be avoided even on the top tiers or rankings do have its existing issues.

New exchanges will not gain reputation easily especially when there's a lot of exchanges offering the same service. Kucoin is one of the best exchange today and yeah time can tell and this exchange can be a big thing. The volume maybe low today, I believe many investors will come in and kucoin is one their choices to use in trading with cryptos.

Almost every country's traders know well about hitbtc. Because it is a well known, old exchange than Kucoin. No one ever thought that Binance will be the first exchange by volume in a couple years, it was a revolutionary gain. And everybody accepts it. But Kucoin is a growing exchange, whoever traded here, he will come again, but not many people know about it. Buy day by day, the kucoin volume will be high like Binance because everyone has seen a new binance in kucoin exchange.

It isn't low though, it has gone lower over the past couple of months though. I remember Kucoin being a top 25 exchange earlier this year only, perhaps this is an anomaly then.

Binance already set the bar high, superb support, quick actions against potential threat that's why they are number 1 right now. So its up to other exchanges to catch up.

If that is the case then good for them. It's a sign that they are gaining the trust of the traders but it will take some time to have trading volumes increases. As others have said, it's not a overnight process. Although I have one bad experience against them, but I think its a isolated case.

Many new exchangers now, and competition will happen.
kucoin has an expensive fee, maybe this is one reason traders choose another exchange.

Kucoin has the potential, it's just that people are more comfortable using older exchanges than the new ones, what Kucoin need is to have better Customer Support and continue to increase their security, success is not far.

I think it's also part in fact due to the servers for kucoin not being too good, if you have ever really tried to use their exchange you would notice that during massive price changes the servers would be slow, would crash, or would otherwise impede your ability to trade. They also don't have the same (amazing) customer service that companies like binance put out -- and that is going to be limiting in a time where people are REALLY scared that their exchange is going to run away with their money.

Binance has been able to take over due to the fact that they have an amazing team of customer service, amazing servers, and an amazing GUI. If there is ever a problem you will find out by the CEO from binance pretty quickly, while these other exchanges take a good amount of time to do this.

Binance is amazing, which kills it for competitors. Though high withdrawal fees may be a way for KuCoin (and other competitors) to take some of the market share from binance.

HitBTC is a Chinese exchange I think and Chinese exchanges have been known to inflate their volume numbers. Also Kucoin has being copying the Binance exchange and thus hasn't been able to create its own niche, due to which most of the people go with Binance as it is more secure and has higher volume and also the whales are mostly on Binance who drive most of the volume.

actually kkoin exchange is pretty good only there are some services that are not there and there are in other exchanges so kucoin less desirable many people. Now we think like this kucoin is a fairly new exchange when compared with others when there is a new exchange but the service and limitations of the coin is still good with the old exchanges for what we use the new exchange. However, if there is a renewal and some services improved, the user may increase.

Kucoin need more advertising and offer good program to attrack trader. Now too many new exchange so will many competitor and all exchange should be offer good customer support and other product. If the exchange not make any inovation to attrack member, their volume can be decreased like other exchange Bittrex,Poloniex, etc.
