The feds don't need to sell them. They print their own money.

Good for us when they exchange the bitcoins for never ending inflated dollars  Smiley

I'd definitely jump on the bandwagon to buy more BTC at -30% if they ever do liquidate!

I doubt it'll happen, but who knows...

I thought it was ironic that they said the feds were selling the bitcoins now. Well, if you look at the wallets, not one coin has moved. (as of today).. I don't think they they will be selling them until Ross cuts a deal and lets them seize the coins or if/when he losses in court. I have a feeling that he's cutting a deal. The fed system is a conga line of snitches...Im sure he was in contact with a lot of unsavery characters. Also, (I believe i read this in another thread) that they most likely will auction them off. If they put up 177k bitcoins on the market right now, it would tank it, granted, it would rebound fairly quickly, but the govt wants the most bang for their buck, so they will either sell them very slowly in the open market or auction them off in blocks (pun intended)...

From the techcrunch article:

"“The reason for selling is that the Government has lost faith in the value of bitcoin and does not want to deal with the volatility of the currency,” the source said."

If you believe that you believe anything, it sounds like a stupid made up remark. So I doubt the whole article to be honest.

This so called "journalism" is discussed in this thread:

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

Haha, unless DPR cuts a deal I'm sure he'll keep the funds tied up in a legal battle for as long as he can.
