Yeah, you have to follow that link by hand because the "trade" link in the English page is broken
(minimum trade: 5 CNY)

I tried selling them, but they deducted 1000 points, and when I cancelled and tried again its below the limit.

I'm in the same boat I have no clue what to do with them.  There is no real choices for them.
Anyone have a good idea what to do with them?

They look like they are an incentive for keeping BTC on their exchange, kind of like interest for a savings account. They look like deposit credits that get traded for BTC at a certain interval.

That would be cool.  I have been using Bter more and more as they have MemoryCoin on there.
It's odd there is not more information available about the points though.

it says :
"Bter Points (BTR) is obtained based on Bter user's trading volume. BTR holders share 25% CNY trading fee from Bter every month."

So it seems you will won CNY every mouth by keeping them.

What about the cancelling order issue ?

So when you sell any altcoin you get BTER points, which have to be traded for CNY and then traded to BTC.

There's no reason not to allow direct Altcoin>BTC trading (since you can do BTC>Altcoin).

TL;DR: Never trading there again.

You didn't understand it well.
Of course you can do Altcoin->BTC trading, it's just that they will give you free Bter point for each transaction you do.
Consider it as some kind of fidelity point.

And what we can do with this Points?

- Keep them to get % of fee. I don't know if this is really working, I didn’t found a page to check that.
- Sell them for CNY (but beware, I've read that you will lose 50% by doing that, and if you cancel your order you lose the 50% anyway, this is very strange, but I guess they don't want you to crash their own market).

It does stink though that they take your entire balance away if you withdraw any amount of any kind of coin.
I had a large amount and had to take out a couple MMC and they took all my BTR points away.
That really sucks.

They are the same ploy as Cryptsy points, worthless until you sell them, when you do they make your balance suffer.

It does seem to be that way.
So it looks like before any withdrawal you need to trade them and take the loss because if you don't you lose them all and get nothing.

It looks like the way this works is that if you just sell altcoins for BTC and take out the BTC, you don't net any BTR points. If you actively trade altcoins you probably accumulate BTR you can sell for a partial commission rebate.

I don't trade there enough to figure out if this exactly right, but it seems close.

That is odd.
I did not get any points a few days ago for my trades either.
I hope it is temporary.  I like BTer because it supports some coins that don't get traded elsewhere.

yup same. Maybe they are fixing the problems.

I QQ Message them and they stated it was only with CNY or BTC trades. But I had many trades that dealt with the two and was stuck at no Bter Points. Guess I wasn't the only one with problems.
