Hes developing the hard fork, 100%, maybe with the developers or maybe on his own but thats what hes doing. If he is still alive of cause.
Think about it, he owns a billion dollars worth of bitcoin which he hasn't sold any of (which is great because he has confidence in the currencies future) but we all know bitcoin is in alpha and carnt handle massive scaling yet. But scaling is coming quick and without the hard fork it will fail to deliver.
So what would you be doing? Either selling (which he is not) or making sure it gets a smooth passage to mass adoption.
comments please..

try researching better before opening topics of speculation.
atleast look at the programmers in bitcoin foundation EG Gavin. look at what they are doing to ensure a stable bitcoin future.

I know what Gavin and co say they are doing and i know what Satoshi said he was doing, however, even if Satoshi did go to work on something else, he is holding a billion dollars of bitcoin and he knows the current code cant handle the speed of uptake. So unless his baby or a billion dollars dont mean anything to him. He has dropped whatever he is doing now and probably reached out to Gavin and is working 24 7 to sort it out before the rate of adoption defeats it.

That statement is meaningless without giving a reason for the flaw in my logic.

Sounds like good advice. As a newbie I have been somewhat alarmed at the recent 51% crisis and would like to follow what is being done to prevent future problems such as this threat and the scaling problem mentioned here. However, I have just been to the foundation site and could not find any place where they were discussing what is being done to address any potential problems. What am I missing? Can you provide a link where I can find this info? Many thanks for any info.

I notice more and more of these types of post (drivel) from people with the dice signature, so much so that I think it is starting to reflect badly on the sponsor.

Satoshi is dead
what does that mean? Im intrigued. why do you think hes dead. Im sure there are some good arguments.. Maybe thats why he hasn't sold any of his bitcoins. Maybe thats why he handed over to Gavin, because he was terminally ill? Its a gripping mystery and we are lucky enough to be living through it. Happy ending or tragedy it will be a film one day so soak it up you are part of this drama.

Hey that's not very nice he made a long and thoughtful post just because you disagree with him doesn't mean he or anyone else is ignorant. Remember those who call others ignorant are usually the most ignorant of all the people they call ignorant.

I reckon he's died of a smug overdose. I wonder how he (or they) feel about how Bitcoin has been accepted or used. What if he is disgusted by the beast he has created and decides to dump all his coins like a cointroll for laugh?

What if he is disgusted by the beast he has created and decides to dump all his coins like a cointroll for laugh? It's the smug life for Satoshi. I do wonder what would happen if he did try to dump them. I mean the exchanges account for only a small fraction of the BTC currently in circulation. Bag holders who aren't on the exchange are doing their part for the value.
