I think this man (tvplus006 - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1311641) has to be a part of your list. He is doing is really useful and really hard work everyday, without holidays. I guess your list is a Hall of fame! These men are so useful for forum, really good Members.

Almost all of his posting is to do with bounty and other stuff that is clogging up the forum. I think it's time he took a long holidy. Fortunately nearly all of his posts are on boards that I ignore.

I had the same feeling like Jet Cash for this user tvplus006, after seeing the merit buttons on the table associated with his new 🔥 THE TABLE OF NEW BOUNTIES 🚀☀️ topic. It's kind of off forum merit asking IMO however it's clear the user has determination and is putting a lot of efforts on maintaining that topic.

There are also at least 590 users that have ranked-up to Members using the Merit System. I've only focused on users created from the 27/11/2017 onwards, since they started off from a rank with no associated Merit (thus some names from your list are missing in mine). I would have liked to derive the complete user list, but unfortunately, this cannot be answered completely due to the lack of a snapshot created just when the Merit System kicked-off (i.e. User, rank, activity, airdrop, etc.). There are bound to exists more cases, at all rank levels, but it's quite a gruesome task to try to find out exactly who they are without making plenty of mistakes, due to the lack of the above stated information.

If merit is that exciting to you for you to make a post about getting 100(to earn more, no doubt), maybe you shouldn't have received any.
Merit is a reward for good posting, but it shouldn't be the sole focus of your time here, which seems to be the case.
You are right indeed but mdayonliner did not focus on merit alone. I did see mdayonliner's post help other people in this forum. Mdayonliner did contribute to this forum that is why he earn merits. Most members agree to mdayonliner's post and then give merit not because all did find mday's post helpful.

Congrats to OP, working hard on the forum and now he has a full member rank, his motivation to have some merit that makes easy to rank up. I agreed that what pharma said he has a good post that deserving to have smerit. Just a short time you are now a full member mate job well done, I saluted at you.
I hope you are the one who becomes an inspiration to newbie members here start with zero merit and now officially full member rank.

I can only say that means the system works. Abusers get caught, legit users are scarce. But that was to be expected. I'm especially suspicious if people got exactly 100 or 250 merit in a few bit chunks, and then stopped receiving anything. That most likely means they traded to fill their exact needs.
It's still on my TODO: combining theymos' data dump and the current merit amounts in each profile is enough to determine the Merit airdrop for each user, which is enough to deduce their "starting" rank. I've been postponing this for too long, I hope to find some time tomorrow. I'm very curious to see stats on who ranked up. Once I get it all figured out, I'll include it in my weekly updates.

Yes is working great but we (as forum in this cause, you DT members) need to be more strict to punish abusers. Also maybe we need to add/change some sources? This month we have less sMerit distribuited than sMerit generated.

Yes is working great but we (or better, you DT members) need to be more strict to punish abusers. I remember this: Merit sales, transfers to aliases, back-and-forth trading, etc. are not much of an issue. All illegitimate merit will decay, and will account for a tiny and very expensive fraction of the total merit economy. It's basically a rounding error; fight it where convenient, but waste no sleep over it. I've been on DT2 for 2 months now, and only tag red on accounts that I believe deserve it without a doubt. So far I haven't tagged merit abusers, and I'm not planning on changing that. I do like how the 5 merit abusers received red trust from 5 different DT-members. That seems better than all of it coming from the same person.

Well guys, I will say it's more!!! Unfortunately it 15/24 are questionable (!!!) Check yourself. It's a big question (?) how these members are misusing merits. Yes is working great but we (as forum in this cause, you DT members) need to be more strict to punish abusers.
Wish they would. These merit abusers has their own excuses and lately I noticed IT WORKS. I feel in need of shifting my energy to something else.

Probably more. Does copy and paste of copyrighted material deserve a merit ? How much is required for it to be plagiarism ? I'm not making accusations - I'm asking a genuine question. --snip--
He is clearly citing the source so plagiarism is overruled, and for his efforts bringing up something to the community deserve merit (not everybody reading news)

He is clearly citing the source so plagiarism is overruled, and for his efforts bringing up something to the community deserve merit (not everybody reading news) So plagiarism would be the wrong word. Copyright infringement ? I agree it is newsworthy and clicking links is a pain. Yes is working great but we (or better, you DT members) need to be more strict to punish abusers. I remember this: Merit sales, transfers to aliases, back-and-forth trading, etc. are not much of an issue. That seems better than all of it coming from the same person. I agree that the system overall works. Anyone rising rapidly would require some of the merits from DT2 members and smerit sources to level up quickly. There are not enough merits floating around to do it without obvious systematic abuse. There is a risk that too much tagging for spam or merit will make the real $ scammers look more legitimate.

1In my opinion, if you have better idea about the individuals specialty please let me know. 2The members merit gains are questionable. Not someone to take encouragement. I will request the community to investigate and suggest me to remove YES if my input is wrong. Don't want to repeat what has already been discussed in another topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2896910.msg32771539#msg32771539And almost all points for deleted threads, so he was either spamming and each of his posts got later merited by xandry, or he was posting and deleting everything after getting merited so it's impossible to find out what he was merited for and argue whether the post deserved it or not. Either way it looks like abuse. This is also interesting https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=382413Maybe xandry could tell us why almost all posts that he's meriting get deleted. The moderator xandry gives merit for helping in moderating the forum. Russian section of the forum is very big sizes. And we promptly report the posts or threads violate the forum rules. For that sometimes he get merit. P.S. Sorry for my English. P.S. Statistics of my reports are available to administrators mdayonliner, do you have any more questions?

On the whole, the Merit System seems to be working as a double-edged sword: - On the one side, less people are ranking-up (and I’m not just talking about the younger members), and at a slower pace too. Those that do rank-up, put quite a bit of effort into it, so from the Forum’s content perspective that is something favourable. - On the other side, numbers are pretty low, and even worse if we dissect the profiles of ranked-up members and determine that a large amount are DT tagged or suspicious to say the least. Talking about suspicious cases of merit abuse and plagiarism, as can be seen on this thread and multiple around, we can encounter endless loop situations where by one is detected as suspicious and reported multiple times overtime for the same facts, even if the case is cleared or, at least, not proven wrongful without a shade of doubt. Here again, we have the double edged-sword: - If they are not re-reported, they may be left aside as unresolved and thus remain exempt. - If they are re-reported it’s easier for them to be looked into, but innocent cases could incur in the endless loop situation. Since there is no "global ledger" with the cases and their status of resolution, and a protocol that is guided by it’s use, endless loop situations will occur. But because there are no crystalline rules on how to proceed, so will the abuse continue as a means to bypass the difficulties of getting merited. So plagiarism would be the wrong word. Copyright infringement ? I agree it is newsworthy and clicking links is a pain.
As shahzadafzal stated, the posts your quote always reference the article source, so there is no real issue here. Most of the news sections do the same, or even sections like "the wall observer" where it is often done in a graphical manner. Informative posts that cite the source should be that, informative, and could lead to getting good debates in motion.

Content has got much better since the introduction of the merit system, however regarding users ranking up slower; That's working as intended, although it might be true that only exceptional members are going to rank up multiple times we should see an improvement in this when there's a few hundred merit sources. Since there is no "global ledger" with the cases and their status of resolution, and a protocol that is guided by it’s use, endless loop situations will occur. But because there are no crystalline rules on how to proceed, so will the abuse continue as a means to bypass the difficulties of getting merited.
Low amounts of merit being traded between alts isn't a problem as they'll likely run out of sMerit before they rank up any of their accounts. If they are trading a large amount between their accounts then this should be fairly easy to recognize. The users that feel they need to trade merit between themselves aren't likely to put in the effort to get external merit either.

Screen captured for the record: # #xtraelv, use search option and find related topics about your concern. If my memory serves me right then we already have a topic where we talked about plagiarism and citing. Don't ask question here and there which makes you sounding stupid. Please back off! These people proved themselves to the community, they care about the community. They are not shamelessly using bitcoinTalk and its resources to promote some shitty/shady exchange. You have problem with me not with others. Deal with me! Let them enjoy on what they are good at. I will give you a week from now to until 31 May, 7 days from now ( Countdown) You still have following time left. PS: I see you removed the original tag and tagged me with a new one without even waiting for my feedback where I gave you 7 days of time to finish your investigation. Seems like you have done with your investigation but too coward to wait for my response? Or it's a Moral hazard from your side?
update1: Good to see that you are working to improve yourself: Most iconic bitcointalk threads. archiveBut again, if my memory serves me right then there is already a similar topic. Your the search option. update2: Legendary profiles of bitcointalk. <=== Thought to save your time.
