Why on earth create a new coin with a name the same or similar to one that already exists and also use the same 3 character ticker code as it? Crazy idea given if you are actually trying to create a genuine new coin and want to invest time and effort in building it's profile why would you want any confusion? Good luck but seems strange move to me! Think this dev is a little more into hardcore devoping then he is into marketing, I applaud the innovation here, but if he is unlucky he gonna end up like the sifcoin team that developed a new coin , the coin died because of bad name bad marketing and then a clone, quark took their multi algorithm and flew to the moon with it. Think this dev needs a little help with marketing.

Hmm, you announce coin without wallet... yeah, probably I can trust... but.. without MINER FOR THIS COIN. It's just ridiculous. It's like say "Stand and go!" and cut legs.

How about Primecoin? and you think litecoin and bitcoin had miner from start? Good luck but seems strange move to me! i think you can see more then first 3 character)) otherwise you can mine doge and "other" scrypt-shit clones (sory for my tone) or invest in scam IPO "coins". ok, what can you say about other 95% of new coin without innovation on this forum? i try do something new in developing cryptocurrency community, yes maybe i am wrong somewhere and my contribution to this development will be very small, but in general i belive my little contribution will help to developing cryptocurrency for the better ...

* Super secure hashing: 5 rounds of hashing functions (luffa, cubehash, shavite, simd, echo). * CPU mining * Qubit block generation: 30 seconds * 2048 QBT per block (halving every 60480 blocks) * Total of 250 million QBT. * Difficulty retargets every 20 blocks.
Mining with cpu-miner (minerd) for quark or another soft?

I think you've misread what I've actually written and taken offence when it wasn't intended. I wasn't saying you'd done anything wrong or comparing to other coins. I was simply stating that the QBT ticker code, as you've shown yourself in your own thread title, and coin name had already been used elsewhere in the past. Therefore, if you wanted to get the best result for your coin launch you may want to consider that in case it causes confusion further down the line. That's all I was saying.

Mining with cpu-miner (minerd) for quark or another soft? it's different algo ... miner from quark is incompatible for qubitcoin.

Seriously if you don't want to change the name of the coin, change the short-form QBT.
It's only going to confuse people who are looking for your coin. A good example would be mastercoin besides the examples given from previous posters.

Blocks 1-10,000 - 0.0001 MRC (To set difficulty and test network) Blocks 10,000-160,000 - Block reward is the same as block number. (For fair launch) Example: Block number 10,000 = 10,000MRC, Block number 160,000 = 160,000MRC Blocks 160,000 - 310,000 - Block reward descending by one for each block. (For deflation) Example: Block number 160,000 = 160,000MRC, Block number 160,001 = 159,999MRC and so on. 310,000+ - Block reward is a solid 10,000
please do like that to prevent a diff rape if you really want a smooth launch
