Mining is going great. I'm calling upon our active miners to provide feedback in this thread.

Edit: Removed text about giveaway as people still think it is ongoing.

Hello dille71,

We were lucky yesterday with 3 blocks in 3 hours, giving a very quick and high return. The current round is indeed taking longer.

The current hashrate for the pool is 70 Mhash which means that at the current difficulty it takes on average ~8 hours per block. Sometimes it is faster, sometimes slower, luck is a big factor. In the long term it evens out though.

You can find all this information in the Pool Statistics page. If you look at the Blocks Statistics page you will also notice that our current percentage is 93%, meaning overall we found blocks at 93% of the average time, so our luck is good at the moment. In the long term, this will also even out to 100% of course.

Thank you for your feedback. 200 DOGE coins have been sent to your wallet as promised.

So far I've got about 500 doges only with my crappy pc..

My username there is toi as well.

Thank you toi, I sent you the 200 doges. I hope you will mine in dogecoin.poolgen.com with your new rig as well. Good luck!

On another note, we exceeded 100 Mhash/s today! Blocks are being generated faster and faster.

Hello folks! I'm new to this but have found the process quite interesting to say the least! Got my miner up and running yesterday after reading the 'getting started' tutorial, then let it run ever since... fingers crossed for some good Doge returns. Still reading through the forum and learning as much as possible, love it! Any tips for a newbie regarding making a mining rig? Must be affordable however.

Would love a 200 Doge donation to get me up and running!

So far so good. I prefer mining on smaller pools like this for the bigger rewards. I know it evens out eventually but it just feels so much better  Grin

Hi guys, been mining on Dogecoin.poolgen for a few days now and saw great success with just my laptop at the beginning, then after setting up a single VM on Azure. Was getting fairly regular payouts of (small) payments every 1 to 2 hours, now however it's becoming closer to 12 hours for a payout, any ideas why that may be?

I'm running 2 VM on Azure giving 166KH/s btw Smiley

Cheers!  Grin

Hello,

There are several factors:

1) The difficulty on the dogecoin network has increased so there is less chance to find blocks. This affects everyone.

2) Have a look at the Statistics->Blocks page. You will notice that we found several blocks yesterday at a percentage lower than 100%. That means, we were lucky and found blocks faster than average. Today we are less lucky and only found 1 block so far. On average we are still good (91%), but there is some variance due to luck.

I hope this helps.

I've just began my crypto-mining adventure, and I thought dogecoin.poolgen.com would be a nice friendly place to start.
