Sapphire R9 280x Toxic no Temp reading in cgminer or GPU-Z. Anyone else?

Anyone else having an issue with getting GPU-Z or cgminer to display the temps on a Sapphire Toxic R9 280x?

The 13.11b9.5 was just released middle of last week. Try that one.

got that card last week, no problems with it so far, temps are at 75C, at 60-65 % fan, and not as noisy as they seam on most of reviews. clock 1080/1500...

Thanks for the tips. I switched to the beta and no joy.

I then hooked up my monitor directly to it instead of the GTX670 and it works.  now So it looks like an issue with the dummy plug I am using (made my own based on overclock instructions).  Unfortunately, I have no idea how to tell if the dummy plug is properly being detected and works as I am able to mine on the R9 regardless of whether its hooked up to a dummy/monitor.

I have the exact same issues you have. I didn't consider it could be the plug. I just have a spare DVI cable plugged into my second card, but I don't get any temperature readings in GPU-Z, and I can't change any settings in MSI Afterburner. I have an XFX R9 280x, but seem to have the exact same problem as you.

Yes, that's the one i made. I can tell it is working because when I plug in the dummy plug, the screen resolution screen in Windows shows a second desktop.  When I unplug it immediately goes away. So the plug is doing something. Unfortunately, what I am finding is that if its not plugged into the monitor the card appears to be throttled to around 550 khps. Sometimes I can squeeze more out of it, but not much. If I plug the monitor into it, it can go to 700+ like I was expecting.

Some further notes. Previously I had made it so it only displayed on desktop one and did not extend the displays to the other video card.  I like my cursor to stop at the borders of the screen. This seemed to further throttle the R9, which I only use for mining. By enabled the extension of the desktop to both displays, I can now get full sensor reporting and the proper speeds (760khps).

Not what I want but still working on it.
