This is absolutely great! I really hope more people will understand the cause of this coin and that even the egocentric people should consider the fact that a charity coin will eventually be good for the entire Bitcoin-Altcoin world as it would detach the common conception of Bitcoin = Gambling + Porn + Drugs + Hackers. I really hope this coin would have a good enough value so these donation would actually make a difference to the world! |

I suggest you make some kind of policy for the targeted charities, if you don't have them already. The policy should include at least: - What kind of use SOC allows for the donations - Deadline when the donation should be spent? - Strong identifying of the organization: Some kind of society registry/ etc check. Unless they have it, they can't get the donation (This would pretty much eliminate hoaxing) - Proof that the money is spent as agreed - What else? Been mining this one a bit since the start, looking towards finding good charities to donate to  |

Thank you for updating the main thread, it should be updated daily and contain ALL information available about this coin. I would make a clean bounty section - We need more from everything "The next 5 people to convince 5 more charities to post their SocialCoin address on their donate webpage will get a bounty of 20,000 each!" I think the bounty model should be: 1. First person gets 5X 2. Second gets 4X 3. Third gets 3x 4. Fourth gets 2X 5. Fifth gets X And when someone gets a bounty you mention it was already claimed with some details (don't delete) Again sorry I have no time, I will try to write a big post at evening because I do have a lot of ideas for this great coin. |

Great to see a coin with a purpose, best of luck to all involved. It would be really great to see some articles in the future that mention a coin like this making a difference instead of just being another crapcoin mention for those slow news days.

Maybe you could ask Viva con Aqua ( http://www.vivaconagua.org/). They are a Charity from Germany with many nice Projekts to collect Money for clean drinking Water all over the world. They have a very young team and I think they would love the Coin! |
