i have a dell xps computer with an ati mobility radeon hd 4670 graphics card, intel core i5 cpu m430 @ 2.27ghz. i looked online but i could not find out how # of mhash/m i would get if i set up my computer for mining.

Your video card is decent ,but you will be mining at a loss.

Connect to a pool. It will tell you a good estimation of your real useful mining power in a few minutes. Most mining software does report it as well on your end.
