Sick of trying to remember and look up a notepad file for DNS - now that my network is growing I just want to run a small footprint DNS server on one of the Xubuntu miners.

Thanks.

Install webmin and configure it from there, it'll be much easier for a novice. You'll still want to follow a web tutorial though I imagine.

Also, not sure if you are aware of the "hostfile", you can manually define domains and their matching IPs in your hostsfile (linux and doze), it will override any DNS results.

What about editing your host file instead of running an DNS daemon?

Didn't think of that - thanks.
