The best antivirus is yourself :
Don't download shit and don't visit dodgy site !
How You stop intrusion attempts?

Why would anyone try to intrude your computer at first ? Think about it.

COMODO works like shit. I always have to turn it off
Are you talking about the free version firewall only or the other crap that come with ?

The best antivirus is yourself :

It's not as easy as that though is it?

And define dodgy site? There are plenty of dodgy links on here.

To steal Your confidential information. Never seen a fake wireless access points?
If someone use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anony.wififinder to create near You a Hotspot with the same name and password, Your Data will be stolen.

Honeypot. Why for god-sake would you connect to an unknown insecure WiFi ? You are asking for it.

(There are other anyone accessible programs to view access passwords to WIFI).

Again, define 'dodgy stuff' and how do you know a site or link you click is 'dodgy'?

No, I'm asking you to define what you mean by dodgy and how we can know something is dodgy.

No, I'm asking you to define what you mean by dodgy and how we can know something is dodgy.

Basically everything that contain illegal content especially illegal pornography, cracking software, key-generator,...
Also streaming websites are fucking dodgy. I keep saying it, don't watch streaming online for movies/series.

Every time money is involved, every time you are asked personal informations.
Facebook is dodgy. People should stop using that shit.

Have to go, will update later.

Some of those site may not appear dodgy. And you can get viruses that are from seemingly legit sites or sources.

My preference is for Kaspersky or F-Secure because they don't seem too memory or processor intensive. They both consistently perform well in customer views and the top consumer mags.

I'm using the Comodo package at the moment and it seems to work great. Look into it.

there is no such thing as "the best antivirus" for example of course ESET nod is better then Avira but then again Avira is free and you have to pay for ESET (unless you're a pirate Cheesy ) and ESET takes more of your RAM and processing power when Avira is so easy on your GPU Smiley

There are so many details on different antiviruses that every individual would probably have a different "best" for himself

Data protection is bigger issue, than virus/malware removal, after your Data is violated.
