Keep it off of it lol. Encrypt it with a strong password and store several backups offline. I recommend using linux too.

For my wallets I've protected them with a strong password and I keep the data folder on a truecrypt encrypted volume using AES-Twofish-Serpent (all of three) with a stronger different password

Make a password it will take an eternity to crack. And I mean literally an eternity. http://passwordsgenerator.net/

This is a nice one - w(JRq7h8:G<`k-/hwZ`:n#RN73PxbtpTPZh5(K(7%T"Cq:QBPweusjhg^3[#5nmwhB2se/KEEfkkd,brRCT*]8<.`TTzW?KDznf`De[B}(T>ckpc?;%(=q. It's not very practical though

Doesn't matter how long your password is if you've got a keylogger and you're likely to forget that if you lose it or whatever.

Encrypt your wallet, and make multiple backups of wallet.dat in your %Appdata%\Bitcoin folder.

Making backups on the same computer makes little sense. Better to have some backups on removable mass storage.

Lol, yeah, and on several different mediums - dvds usbs etc. You can even write the private keys down as well.

If you want to protect your wallet, the best is to put most bitcoin on an offline wallet.
Put a backup on several usb's or ssd's, and encrypt it with a long password, containing no real words.
encrypt the the directory or entire drive using truecrypt. (http://www.truecrypt.org/)

write the password down on paper, or learn it in a way you'll never forget!
You can still keep some bitcoin in a wallet on your computer to play around with.
For protecting your wallet for a long while this is your best option!
