Hi Guys,

I've just bought 11 x r9 280's and im experiencing some issues with my first rig

first of all, it will only recognize 2 out of 3 cards I have installed to one of them,, nooooo idea why, they are on good risers, and each are powered through the molex connectors.

so i thought whatever, i will check out the mining speed on the two that are recognized... 15khash per card.. what the actual motherfuck is that about.

does anyone have any idea as to what the fuck is wrong fuckitifuck im pissed off ive spent 20 hours doing this since yesterday and my nipples are about to fall off.

1m coinye for whoever can help me get a WORKING solution

thanks

Do you have dummy plugs or the DVI jumpered with resistors?

Also, check your screen resolution control panel. What is the Multiple displays setting set to?

I found similar issues - my problem was PCIe-X 6 pin power, or lack thereof to the cards PCIe 6 pin connectors.
I had some sub-standard molex to 6 pin some of the yellow leads actually melted.

I use sata to 6 pin - not a problem now.

This. Tho i've not needed them I have my monitor connected to one card, when I tired to run it off the MB's onboard DVI I get the same results as you, meaning I'd need dummy plugs if i want to run this particular rig with display on the onboard, so I just left it plugged in the the AMD card and all cards work fine, with the one running the monitor lagging behind by 4khash or so too the others.

With my Sapphire Toxic 280x, I have found that if I do not extend the display to all of the cards, the cards without a monitor (even if dummy connected) would be throttled.

XFX is crap for mining. Probably the reason why you were able to find these cards.

My XFX 280x runs at 700 khash stable at 77c... Not the best but hardly 'crap'
