The Bounty section of this forum cannot be used for bounty discussion of any particular project since each bounty thread is flooded with hundreds of pages of constant twitter and facebook updates from bounty hunters. Even when the ICO and bounty have ended months ago there are still twitter updates posted every hour from what seem to be bots. This prevents bounty participants who want to discuss issues with the bounty campaign from having any form of discussion whatsoever.

I get why bounty managers would allow and encourage this practice: it bumps their bounty campaign thread. However it's pretty obvious that when every campaign does this, the net effect is the same as there being no bumping at all. All threads are in a constant bumping war of twitter updates, and any function that a "forum" might serve doesn't exist. Go right now to the Bounties (Altcoins) section of this forum, click any link, go to the last page, and you'll see no discussion, just a lot of twitter/facebook updates.

Bounty managers need to be required to store twitter/facebook updates in a spreadsheet or somewhere else, off this forum. The bounty forum should be reserved for bounty discussion, nothing else. Bounty managers who break this rule should have their threads locked. People who post twitter updates in bounty threads should be temporarily banned.

It would be a good thing indeed.

While I know it's not ideal, you can usually get a response much quicker by asking a question in the bounty's telegram group.

Indeed, but sometimes it's nice to have a track record of discussion, particularly if there's an issue with the bounty campaign and the community can come together as one to discuss it.

So will born a competitor and 90% of people will move there, with their traffic and their bounties and it would be an economic suicide for admin of the forum.

OP, if you notice them and they also post on same format you can assume them as bots. With a little of investigation you can report them. This is one of the most easiest way to find alts.

btcltcdigger already had this idea look at his bounty thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3407371.0

I avoid his campaigns because while the campaign manager requires weekly reports through a form, they do not update campaign spreadsheets and only check at the end of the campaign. It's misleading because twitter archives posts based on both time and volume. Meaning, if his campaigns last long enough, or if he has hunters who tweet a lot, they won't receive credit. Be wary of this because it suggests he doesn't have the time to maintain his current campaigns and is instead focused on managing as many as possible for his own benefit.

They should change the way of reporting facebook and twitter posts I also joined some of facebook campaign and it makes my posting boom which is I don't like but have no choice. But now I already stopped participating on facebook campaigns but I still participate signature and blog. I think they should use google forms for reporting of facebook and twitter posts weekly. And just require participants to post a one-time proof of participation.

Bounty managers need to be required to store twitter/facebook updates in a spreadsheet or somewhere else, off this forum.
Then they just move on to posting "proof of joined", "proof of ownership" or "proof of authentication". Or just random paid bumpbots, which I estimate to earn several Bitcoins per month by now, just from spamming the forum.

would be better off to just remove all bounties from this forum, remove signatures as well.
Good one, coming from a mcoin-shill!

I like the campaigns that have google form reporting, and believe more campaign managers should go that route
That's not enough if the thread isn't self-moderated and actively cleaned. Look at these 21 accounts spamming Facebook and Twitter links to a campaign that doesn't require it, even weeks after the campaign has closed. It's madness!

That's one solution, and an extreme one that Theymos likely won't go for.  What I was thinking is perhaps creating a child board, much like the gambling section has Gambling Discussion.  Maybe creating Bounty Discussion would be a good thing, and I'm pretty sure it wouldn't need more moderation, as it's just a way of separating discussion from participation.

I think those social media updates are part and parcel of bounties, so they have to be posted--correct me if I'm wrong, because I've never participated in one, but my understanding is that this is how people show they've participated.

An even better solution would be for ALL of these bounties to have their own website, and not one that has anything to do with bitcointalk.  This forum isn't necessary for that at all.  Signature campaigns, maybe, but not FB & Twitter.
