You just can't make this stuff up.

It's essentially the same hack as last time, just using alternating scrypt/lyra2re. Remember last time when the devs accidentally forked their own coin without even realising they had done so in their attempts to stop the hack? Turns out even then, they still didn't fix the exploit. This is utterly hilarious. The Verge devs are beyond incompetent.

The fact the Verge isn't worth zero is a damning indictment on the entire crypto world - that so many people are stupid enough to continue to invest in this complete piece of shit.

To answer your question OP, if Verge ever had any credibility, it would have lost it. It's a disgrace.

Verge has lost credibility a long time ago, if it ever had it. It failed where it should have been the strongest, in the domain of privacy, security, and anonymity. Just look at its stealth addresses. They don't offer much privacy, especially compared to the technology implemented in other privacy coins.

I would hate to see panic selling. I have my own tokens in my wallet. It will be sad if all my balance on the verge is rolled in 0. I do not like this attitude of developers. With this it is necessary to do something.

Even on the first place i dont see any credibility. I had followed that previous hack and i didnt expect that they havent still able to fix that one, then that thing clearly testifies that they are really not capable. Verge is the biggest joke in crypto world.

The only reason it ever registered on anybody's radar is because Mcafee tweeted about it and then everyone flocked to it like mindless sheep.

Take just a couple minutes to do some very light and simple research into Verge and you will quickly see that there is no credibility there.

insider ? i do not know about it but it has a possibility.
just look at the way they handled this matter,do you think it makes a sense ? they got hacked or attacked in a month or two months time.
and because of that they lost a quite number of coin in the process.if it's an insider job,the scenario would be like this

I'm not sure if the whole network is completely doomed, but I wouldn't be very confident to use it as nothing is being done to fix the bug as far as I"m concerned.

We can not believe all the news or announcements on any subject in the crypto, we should expect, but regarding Verge in general is regrettable. However, does this make us wonder why in most of the coins with gigantic supply numbers are susceptible to Hacker attacks? Regarding the prices it still stays high, but with a continuous line of downfall and maybe we can believe in some relation with the subject.
