Have a look at http://coinotron.com.  It shows the profit/BTC.  At the moment, bitcoin and I0coin are on par in terms of profitability.

In terms of how much $ you get, then I guess BTC. You must remember there are two variables affecting this, though.

Sadly it'll be some time next year until the hilarious nmc difficulty comes back again and everyone mines it out in 12 hours.

Best thing you can do now is just turn off your rigs and let the supply of new coins slow down.
Do we need a 20, 30, 50, 60% drop in new coin production? I do not know. 50 souns about right.
Looking at the BTC price, you can be sure there is no demand and the number of coins out there has really hard time finding new owners.
Why? I know, none of you like to hear this but BTC is useless in the real world. Come up with a way, how coins can be used and you will have *coin with real value.
Until then, enjoy the silence - no rigs running.

PS! After you have figured out, how to use your coin in the real world, spend them. Stop hoarding *coin!

Until you have figured out that this would make absolutely no difference in the rate of new coins being created, why dont you stop giving advice ?   or is this some pathethic attempt to convince dumb miners to go away and make it easier for you ?

240 posts, and you dont even know how coins are created or even if there was only 1 miner, the creation rate would be the same ?   Read up and wise up boy.

to any "div" eskimo or otherwise, turning off rigs to lower production makes sweet FA difference, thats why difficulty exists to keep production at 6 blocks per hour regardless of the network hash rate..... now everyone here reading this knows what "network hash rate" is mkay......?

............

oh an dont forget to breath else you might end up slightly dead

Do you know how long (actually, how many blocks) it will take, before BTC difficulty adjust to a sharp 20% drop in network hashing power. Smiley
