http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/11/15/countdown-US-Hits-Debt-Ceiling-in-84-days

That article is dated November 15 and says 3 months from now we will hit the Debt Ceiling again and another possible Government shut down come February.

Thoughts on the effect on Bitcoin?

Just more rambling and thoughts..

Without Bitcoin, how would the United States solve the problem? Are they really gonna just keep increasing the debt ceiling and printing more money every few months?
What is there plan long term to solve this (without cryptocurrency) or is it mathematically impossible to pay off the US Debt?

Tea Party Republicans will not put up a fight on this one.  The media walks hand in hand with the elite and the elite wants your money.  Thus, the media will marginalize anyone who impedes this process.  They will pit black against white, rich against poor, x against y to ensure that people don't notice the real crime taking place.  I shouldn't even call it a crime, because when money can buy legislation, anything can be made legal.  Anyway, don't count on anything remarkable happening on 2/15.  In the long run, I believe this is bullish for bitcoin.  Our system is being deliberately staged for a fall.  Invest accordingly (i.e. not 100% bitcoin).

The last shut-down didn't effect me one bit. I have a feeling this won't either

Hahaha.... True.

Maybe they could get jobs cultivating weed crops, which I'm sure would pay more. Thousands upon thousands of new jobs would be created over night.

Just counting down the Presidents until this happens.

I thought that the concern about a US default during the last debt ceiling stand off contributed to bitcoin's price rising. Even if a US debt default is a very small risk, the knock on bankruptcies which could conceivably eventuate makes bitcoin a great hedge. I think a rerun of the 2008/9 financial crisis is one of the things which could send bitcoin into orbit.

Except it wont be a rerun, it will be much worse this time.

I used to think that no one understood this, one of the best things about bitcoin is it showed me at least some people understand how the media and gov has artificially been dividing people with false issues for some time.

Congress already increased the debt ceiling for a second time. The budget deal has already been passed.

Do you know the difference between the Wiemar Republic and the United States? The US just owes more...

Without Bitcoin, how would the United States solve the problem? Are they really gonna just keep increasing the debt ceiling and printing more money every few months?
What is there plan long term to solve this (without cryptocurrency) or is it mathematically impossible to pay off the US Debt?

Legalize marijuana nationwide.

Pay off debt.

Well some of it.

Print all money needed to pay off the debt.
Tax the people who got that money (financially rape them).
Burn the money you get back.

Tongue

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!
