Bitcoin QT Mac: Importing Blocks from Disk (3 hours and counting).

I downloaded bootstrap.dat, put it in my Bitcoin directory and now I get:  Bitcoin QT:  Importing Blocks from Disk (3 hours and counting)...

Can anyone tell me if this process will end and if so, how long I should expect to wait?  Is there any way to tell how much time is left or progess being made?  Like a block count or something?

At the bottom right it should show the block it's on.  It takes a while, depending on your CPU, it has to go through every block and validate it.
