Unfortunately we had to discontinue that promotion due to prohibitive shipping costs.

On a serious note, this is a completely new and unopened 7990. My price is 100$ cheaper then the lowest price I could find on ebay or amazon. If you can find a major retailer with a lower price, I'll consider lowering my price also.

Edit: Just checked ebay again. My offer is still 100$ lower then the cheapest new 7990.

The 7990 original retail price was $1000. Then it came down to $700 due to lack of interest. Now it is discontinued and being replaced with the R9 series. Just because it is discontinued/rare does not mean it is super ultra valuable. With the influx of scamcoin miners, I can see $800 being a fair trade (but a terrible deal for those that want to game on it .. but there's no gamers on these forums so eh.)

That's a XFX not a Saphire, it's not as good for mining. And newegg doesn't ship outside the States afaik, so not really apples to apples comparison.

Again, overstock's bitcoin offer is a US only service atm. Besides, I just looked at overstock.com and couldn't find any 7990s.

He can sell it now for ~1BTC, or he can sell it in 3 months from now for half that. It's his call. Let him fuck up his own life, and you and me can laugh from the sidelines.

The card retailed almost a year ago for 999$. The LOWEST price now on ebay is 1340$. The card has
not lost any value in 10 months, there is no way it will half in just 3 months.

If I can't sell it here, I can just ebay it.

To be honest I don't care much if I can sell it quick. In 3 months I can have over 50% of the value back from mining alone so no worries here.

I just replied to all PMs, please check your inbox. Apologies for the late reply, the forum didn't alert me that I have new PMs for some reason.

1) Wait a second. If you can mine half it's value back in 3 months, then it's not a brand-new, unopened GPU. And if you don't mine on it, you've lost out on 3 months worth of mining, and essentially lost even MORE money. So which is it?

2) There are all kinds of other 7990s on ebay. Most of them are selling for 800-900. Yes, this is a Sapphire, and those are going for a little bit more, but not that much. And just because one is on ebay for 1340 doesn't mean people are going to buy them for that price. Look at the completed listings. That will tell you the actual price: not what people are trying to sell it for, but what people are actually buying it for. See the difference? You're a few hundred over the mark.

The ones selling for $8-900 are used. I have not seen one go for less than $800 unless there was something wrong with it. A few NIB appeared on Newegg recently but they go fast. Price is between $800 and $1200 generally, depending on supply and demand. As of today these new XFX are $900 but they won't last.

As far as I can tell the XFX7990 is the reference design, albeit with a horrendous looking heatsink marketed as "triple dissipation" lol, so it should hash just as fast as the other 7990s. One 7990 is on par with 2 280x but you must run them at 1100/1500 to get 1.5Mh requiring better fans and vrm cooling.
