It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Are you not seeing the trend of new alts with less total coins doing vastly better than their dogey counterparts?

Meanwhile, recycling of old memes continues. What's next, RickAstleyCoin? Or has somebody made that already?

First post updated. We have just finished the wallet graphics and it is looking awesome guys!
We are a group of devs that have been on this forum for a long time and what this to be a community effort and as fair as possible. What do you guys think about a 0.5% premine to support the coin?

I think so too. Would be glad if premine would be 0. Less premine - more chances to get on exchanges. And access to exchanges is hard to overestimate.

if we can see the address where the 0.1% are on it and it mainly for boundis and giveaway's I find the that represents no problem.

0 is ever better +1

I'm a fan of 0% premine as I have plenty of rigs setup. However, the team believes we won't be able to have attractive rewards for bounties and giveaways without any form of premine. Keep the suggestions coming guys!

Considering what just happened with Coinye, have you guys spoken to the guy who owns the rights to Slender Man at all?

I know Valve had legal concerns about a trademark, have you cleared it?

Slenderman! xD IMO, 0,5% works if you are transparant about it and do a giveaway an hour after launch Smiley

Even if Eric Knudsen will give his blessing to Slendercoin, there still would be third-party trademark holders, so I don't see a way to clarify the situation. But, unlike Mr. West, Slenderman in a fictional character, and no one should be morally abused or offended by using Slenderman in some open-source program. And, despite the fact that Slenderman was created by Eric Knudsen and was copyrighted by some sided holders, it's a part of folklore, just like Sandman or Cthulhu. And in that point of view, there should be no barriers to use it (just do it artistically and with roleplaying, like the "Offerings to Chtulhu" does, lol).
