Hey guys,

Right now I have an OCZ GameXstream 750W which powers my single r9 290 rig.  My motherboard (asus p87 deluxe) can handle up to 4 GPU.  I also have a Corsair HX850 power supply.  Will I be able to power 4 r9 290 with these 2 power supplies?  I was thinking that the ocz powers the mb,cpu, ram, and one GPU.  The corsair does 2 gpu and I find a way to creatively power the 4th gpu off of both units (if possible).

  Thoughts?

  Cheers.

Yeah, that would work...theoretically.

4 290s at stock clocks / volts is ~1200-1300w.

Thanx,

I may only be able to add one card at a time, I am thinking that hx 850 on its own should do 2 r9 290 and the system if I am just at stock clocks correct?
