Hi!

I just received 2 Antminer U1 miners and installed the correct driver, downloaded the customized version of cgminer from Github (https://github.com/AntMiner/AntGen1/tree/master/cgminer).
Both miners work fine, but when I plug them in both (using a powered USB hub) only one is recognized and I get the following error:
Code:
[2014-01-14 16:04:47] Bitmain detect (8:5) failed to initialise (incorrect device?)

I am running Windows 8.1 x64

Does anyone know how to get both miners working at the same time?

Thanks in advance!

I got it working at last. The workaround is: start with one miner plugged in and add the other when cgminer is running.

I hope the regular version of cgminer will get support for the Antminer U1 soon, so that these kind of workarounds no longer are needed.

Better to use the modded version of BFG Miner here for U1's: https://www.dropbox.com/s/c7movpxohewides/bfgminer-npw-antminerV3.7z

I run four right now with the regular CP2102 drivers listed in the U1 manual which means you don't need to overwrite the drivers and plug in each U1 everytime you start up.

Far simpler imo.  Give it a try.  Just uninstall the U1's on your device manager and replug the U1's to install the regular drivers.  After that run BFG Miner with the command '--set-device antiminer:clock=xHEX' where 'HEX' would be the speed you wish to set.  The default is 0781 but if you look in the manual it goes quite high.  I'm running mine at 0881 with no problems.

Hope this helps.

You are absolutely right. The BFG Miner is easier regarding drivers, but more important: no hardware errors at all.
Thanks for the tip.

And version 3.10 of BFG Miner has built-in support for the Antminer U1. No need for the modded version anymore. Smiley

I got the new bfgminer 3.10 and used the inbuilt detection to add devices and used the "all" command and It only finds 1 antminer. There is a way to enter a driver and port but I am not familiar with this. Can anyone help me out?

If I exchange miners they both work fine, just bfgminer not detecting both.

The following settings work fine for me:
Code:
-S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0981
