every McDonald is more or less independent and can accept BTC if they wish. Or don't accept if they don't.

So I don't think say that McDonald's in general accepts BTC makes sense

I am just keeping quiet at this type of news , still remember the event when Microsoft, paypal or other large merchants started to accept bitcoin payment! Probably not good news! It is just adding another big merchants who will dumping their bitcoin sales!

I wonder if like how Subway startin acceptin bitcoin via their franchisees if McDonalds can do the same? I am no expert on American burger shops but what I can say is if they have franchisees, couldn't a bitcoiner start a McDonalds and accept BTC? I am not sure how MiccyDeez works, obviously.
