Bitcoin only.

Apparently we aren't allowed to demonstrate agreement with an opinion or add emphasis to a fact with a simple "+1".  I've recently had my "+1" posts removed.  Therefore, I'm typing out this message to indicate that I believe the quoted information needs extra emphasis to avoid being unnoticed in the rest of the chatter in this discussion. I may (or may not) also have added bold or underline tags to the text in the quote above to further emphasize the parts that I think are important to understand or be aware of.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Another opinion:
40% BTC, it's the most proven system, but has drawbacks
30% PPC, it's arguable the most innovative altcoin with lots of improvement, the biggest being that it doesn't use computer power. See bitcarbon.
20% NMC
10% FRC or ZET or SBC or a mix of those or anything small cap altcoin that you think brings something clear over the others.

(You will notice I didn' put LTC in the portfolio. This is for diversification purpose. LTC is too close to BTC technologically-wise. Basically the same thing just 4 times faster, which is of no use, for now)

Have fun investing!

If I would have 2000$ now, i would by Coinye as much as i can, because the price now is very low, and very easily it can double, triple, or 10x in a few days. You can buy for 2-3 sat now, and when exchange will be opened, price will be minimum 20-30 sat Smiley you will see:) So i think the best choice is to buy coinye coins Smiley

I would put it into Litecoin and use 50% for trading and 50% for long hold.
Or even better, just buy a mining rig and mine LTC 24/7
In a few months of hard mining you will have pasted what you will have purchased for 2k

Just a thought.
Cheers

I would avoid any brand new coin that a random poster claims is set to give you 10x returns in a couple of days. Even if this guy does turn out to be right.  Roll Eyes

OP, if you believe in the concept and ideology behind cryptocurrency, then it's Bitcoin all the way. Others may, and likely will, succeed, but IMO only if Bitcoin succeeds first.

I have both BTC and LTC now.

I was all excited buying them but now I'm nervous about all coin, you couldnt potentially make a quick buck in buying some crypto with 2k but anymore than that and you want to be investing in something a little more tangible

LTC/DOGE as I can easily buy them (mine for DOGE and dump them quickly) and profit from them, would also consider PPC/TRC since they are sometimes profitable as well so basically a 4 way split for me with that $2000

I myself have 75:25 QRK:LTC as they are pretty well tied to BTC yet I see them as undervalued in the alt universe.

I've already got some QRK, ZET and EAC.

With $2000 I would probably invest it in PPC and LTC to be honest.
