I'm not sure how that's being friendly if you condone the robbing of non-pool hoppers?  No one in their right mind should mine on a hoppable pool, as the non-hoppers will be robbed and the hoppers will abandon ship at 43%.

mmmm… actually, i'm not forcing anyone to join the pool.. We have our own (not pool) 15 Ghs, and welcome anyone to join - hoppers, non-hoppers - doesn't matter. its free world, free bitcoin network.

What is friendly about theft?

It would be like a city advertising "Rape friendly".  Come visit xyz we are rape friendly.  Peace is better than war.  We have structured our rules to ensure if you want to rape people there isn't much they can do to avoid it (except not come to our city).

Mining is a zero sum game.  Either everyone gets their own fair share or some people get an unfair share (winners and losers).  Being a hop friendly pool is usless for hopper unless their are idiots there waiting to be exploited.   Much like a city of all rapist and no victims.

So if it's not proportional, then being 'hopper friendly' is meaningless since pool hoppers would use it as backup, no different to any other part time miner.

Huh good point... I thought I read it was a proportional pool.  Either I am mistaken, which is likely, or it's been changed since I first read it.  So if it's not proportional, then rock on!  I guess that makes EMC hopper friendly, too!

There are other methods than proportional and PPS, you know. I don't think you understand how bad proportional is. You can use PPLNS for example.
