Hi everyone, I've only been mining and trading since mid December, and I've already had issues with two exchanges where I make deposits that never confirm. When I've sent support tickets, the form has stated that I will usually receive a response within 24 hours. One exchange hasn't responded to three of my support tickets in over 10 days. I would like to hear the opinions other miner/traders regarding the exchanges they find most reliable, as well as which exchages are most responsive to support tickets when problems occur. (because even with the best run exchange, mistakes a bound to happen occasionally)
What say you all?

Don't suppose that one of those exchanges you speak about is BTC-E? They are can be very slow/not very helpful with their support - I remember reading an article which stated that this was because their support team is so small.

I think they are all going to suck at the moment. Crypto currency is exploding, and I don't think they have caught up to the man-power requirements yet.

I'll second that. There is a lot of poor service among exchanges, even the legit ones. Right now I like campbx for Americans. But they do drop balls sometimes.

From my experience so far. All the exchanges suck in support. But then Paypal takes 3 weeks to get back to you.

Why bother with exchanges? I've bought and traded coins on here and as long as you use an escrow you'll be fine. These exchanges need to step up there game or people should stop using them.

I will say that once you actually have bitcoins, if you just want to trade them with other coins, Cryptsy has been pretty good. I personally haven't had any issues.

Keep your coins in a private wallet and then when you need to exchange coins send the requisite amount to btc e and make your exchanges. Secure, quick and easy, etc.

I have good experience with both btc-e and bter. For nxt coin I need to deal with Dgex which seems to be a bit unstable.

Dgex is hosted on a potato. How people manage to trade on there I'll never know, maybe I just visited at busy time.

Cryptsy is everyone's favourite. coinedup is slow, but good.
Heard about cryptorush and poloniex. Yet to give them a try myself.
Thanks.

Coinbase & Cryptsy seem legit and I trust them so far here in USA I would send you my referral link but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that yet here I thought I read the Cryptsy doesn't like people mining directly into their account. Maybe they don't like a bunch of tiny deposits occurring all the time. You can mine to your own wallet and then transfer them in larger lumps. I am still learning though...

I use multipool and just have it transfer after I hit my set threshold.

If they do not like, they should clearly say so. I've been doing micro-deposits and trades since I started mining alts.

everyone has their drawbacks. personally i recommend btc-e and against coinbase. cryptsy is okay in that they usually resolve the constant backlog of problems, but be vigilant about your balances.

Most reliable exchange is BTC-E but their support team sucks.Crypty's support system is comparatively better but they are not reliable at all.
