There are two the best manufacturers producing graphic cards providing miners with a high level of the efficiency. Among them, there are nvidia and amd. You should pay your attention to the hardware produced by nvidia such as GeForce GTX1080, GeForce GTX1070, and GeForce GTX1070ti. Their video memory is 8 GB. And the video memory of GeForce GTX1080ti is 11 GB. The more this indicator is, the higher level of efficiency is.

Today, NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti isn't a very good option for cryptocurrencies. It offers a low level of the efficiency, so it’s considered to be not very profitable hardware for mining. It’s suitable for mining of cryptocurrencies such as Zcash and Ethereum. Its hash rate for Ethereum is 13, 9 Mh/s and for Zcash 180 h/s. But despite a low level of the hash rate, it’s popular for its low level of energy consumption.

The second place of the top is Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. It offers users a high level of the efficiency. This is 35 Mh/s for Ethereum mining, 830 h/s for Monero mining and 685 h/s for Zcash mining.

The third place of the top is Radeon RX 580. Its video memory is 8 GB. The main advantage of this hardware is the price. It costs only $ 279. For those, who want to equip their own home mining farm consisting of 6-8 cards, this is a real catch.

Geforce GTX 1060 is characterized by a low level of the video memory from 3 till 6 GB. It provides hash rate of the graphic card for Ethereum 22, 5 Mh/s, for Zcash 270 h/s, and for Monero 430 h/s. The manufacturer tells us that they are characterized by the stability and longevity. It costs from $ 259 till $ 500. All the miners all over the word tell think this is the best graphic card for mining in 2018, because it will pay off for four months. The best model of the graphic card is RX 470.

A good option for home mining is the layout GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. You can find it easy. It costs from $ 190 till $ 233.

GTX 1070 has high technical characteristics. Its hash rate is really high, because it reaches 30 Mh/s for Ethereum, 630 h/s for Monero, and 430 h/s for Zcash. But because of its high price that is $ 500, it’s not profitable. You must spend 5 months for paying off.

But the most expensive models in the history of NVIDIA’s graphic cards manufacturing are GTX 1080 Ti. It provides the speed more in twice than GTX 1070. GTX 1080 Ti costs from $867.79 on Amazon while GTX 1070 costs only $500.

If you decided to mine coins using hardware produced by amd, it’s more suitable for hashing algorithm Equihash used in Zcash. Also, you can mine CryptoNight used in Monero with it.

You can get the highest profit using graphic cards with Vega GPU architecture. Among them, there are models such as Vega Frontier Edition, RX Vega 64, Radeon RX Vega 56. The graphic cards produced by AMD are more expensive compared to hardware produced by nvidia. The cheapest one costs $ 680 and the most expensive costs $ 800.

Graphic cards such as AMD RX 470 4Gb, AMD R9 390, AMD RX 570 4Gb, and AMD RX 550 4Gb offer their users the least term of the paying off. The term of paying off for such graphic cards in average reaches 7 months.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

For the AMD cards like 480/580, if you mod the memory, you can get higher speed.

also, the knowledge of each miner can determine which graphics card to choose, personally I comfortable with AMD card such RX series to mine in Ethash (ETH, sometimes a switch to ETC) also XMR coin.

Today, the most popular hardware for mining is NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti.

Where is that ? It was the only card that was for sale during the start of this year ( also for a absurd price ) because no 1 bought them.

The best Nvidia is still the 1070 in my opinion, works nice on most algo's, but don't know what you mine, my 1080 Ti doesn't even make 100 $ dollar a month, so my 1070 wont make 500 in 5 months. Not even with free power, a 1080 Ti on Zcash makes around 2.78 a day, before the powercosts.
In a month or 2, a rig of 12 1080 Ti will not even break even on Zcash, welcome Asics  Roll Eyes

A 1080 Ti doesn't double a 1070, my 1080 ti run on 780 Sols / s and my 1070 does 530 Sols / s  but there is a difference in poweruse, the 1080 Ti uses 225 watt and the 1070 does it with 160 watt.

If you decided to mine coins using hardware produced by amd, it’s more suitable for hashing algorithm Equihash used in Zcash. Also, you can mine CryptoNight used in Monero with it.

AMD and Zcash ? Zcash is team Nvidia, runs out al the AMD's Wink   Ethereum is more a AMD game.

In my opinion, even with the new series Nvidia around the corner, Ethereum and Zcash wil be soon a no go for GPU's, they can't compete with the Asics that are coming  Cry

I don't understand, if it has a low level of efficiency, how can it be the most profitable hardware for mining? Those are 2 CONTRADICTING statements you said in a single sentence. My opinion is that you are better off directly investing in GPUs like the 1080ti. Now that is efficiency and profitability.

yeah, the most popular of price and low power consumption but unpopular of profitability, I am more interested in choosing 1070 although the price is slightly different but reliable from hashrate and if to mine in other algorithm isn't too bad.

I completely disagree! It's maybe a popular choice because it's the cheapest amongst NVIDIA GTX. Just to test I bought 1 NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti and started mining Ethereum on 2 Dec 2017 24/7 via MinerGate, and stopped only last month, 4 Apr 2018, here's the result, 0.066569484789 total eth mined as of 04/18/2018 05:00 PM. If I used NVIDIA GTX 1070 Ti (which is better than 1080 Ti according to experts) I would earn more, and probably much more if I would be using 6 graphics cards. Actually, you can compute or estimate your profits by using https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/

For example, a single or 1 GTX 1050 Ti the hashing power is 12 MHs/hr, below would be the (estimated) profits for mining Ethereum:
https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth?HashingPower=12&HashingUnit=MH%2Fs&PowerConsumption=140&CostPerkWh=0.12&MiningPoolFee=1

this's a good post despite having some less precise data. btw, if talking about graphics card (the best) for ETH, XMR, ZEC i choose 1070ti although this card isn't good at XMR but i satisfied with its performance on ZEC and ETH also i have RX, R9 surely excellent on ETH or XMR is good enough.

I know, I should have quoted it.
It's not my quote, I am with you on the 1070, 1050 ti isn't an option in my opinion.

A little disagree with the author. I choose GTX 1070ti for ZEC mining. Just with the latest patch GTX 1080ti give a very good hashrate. Soon GTX 1050ti and 1060 will lose their relevance due to the increase in DAG file.

Very good explanation. From this i know which gpu i will use to start mining.
Frankly in the world of mining the most important thing to note is the efficiency of spending, that will become the profitability.

for Ethash algorithm, yes. the VRAM size[1] of each card is very influential for sustainability but to Equihash algorithm isn't very influential.

1.VRAM size must be larger than Dag File/Size.

1050Ti isn't terrible if priced right -- if you average them out over an assortment of algos you get ~2/3 of a GTX 1060 performance without much effort at all in OC.

I grabbed a batch of them for a low price and I'm okay with what they are doing.

It would certainly be a bad choice if you had paid $200+ for them when prices were crazy, though, IMHO.

-----

I actually really like the 1070Ti and since their release have purchased mostly them... at the $459-$479 range.

-----

I use NEMOS miner and a multi-pool FYI and base my opinion on that.
