KittehCoin Relaunch IS COMING!This is a status update!
It has been a few weeks since KittehCoin first launched and although the dev team has been doing everything they can to keep people updated there has still been some confusion so I want to give the community an update. KittehCoin is very much alive, we have been working on establishing a solid informational center of gravity in order to allow the coin to grow. At the time of the original launch, under a different developer, these resources were not in place leading to a somewhat failure to launch. Things like a wallet for Mac and populated wiki were missing. Logos were inconsistent. Then personal complications in the creator's life caused him to have to step back as the lead. Then unfortunately the coin was prematurely listed on CoinedUp leading to "dumping".
I have now stepped in as lead. My first order of duty has been establishing that informational foundation and the core services that were missing from the first launch. Regardless of others' personal opinion the coin-logo used in the first launch wasn't ideal. A new one was chosen via community selection as we try to do with most KittehCoin related decisions. Since I've taken over as lead the development team has grown to 10 people. We still have the original coin creator on board and assisting just not leading the effort. We've remedied many of the issues that were missing from the original launch, and are close to a relaunch. Because we aren't ready to relaunch just yet, here is some information on where we are at...

We are looking for miners and mining pools. Please be aware that due to the the faltered initial release and a decided upon better design there are plans to change some of the characteristics of the coin including, but not limited to: changing the block reward payout structure and/or changing the maximum amount of coins. We will have all of this information ready at the time of relaunch.
Q: What is this relaunch? What does it mean for my coins (MEOW)?A: The initial launch lacked branding and a development team and was sparse on info and resources. The current coins, and those being mined will not be affected. The relaunch is just to provide a better foundation for growth as well as launch some new coin features and sites.
Q: What are these new wallets? If I install them will I lose my coins?A: They are updated with the new logo, we will have another wallet update with more features alongside the relaunch. All you have to do is run the new wallet just like you did the old one, you can overwrite the old executable you will not lose your coins. They are stored in a wallet.dat file elsewhere on your computer.
Q: How can I stay updated on information/progress leading up to the relaunch?A: KittehCoin official forums are the best place, then twitter/facebook
