My best friend broke got a compression fracture in his back in 5th or 6th grade from a trampoline. He had to go through years of physical therapy, and wasn't able to go out as much. He lost a big portion of his childhood, and he's very lucky that he recovered at all. It was really sad.

I know how a back injury can affect you permanently. I have the back of a 72 year old after years of manual labor yet Im only half that age.

I've had my share of back problems including nerve damage and two surgeries.  I hope you are not in too much pain.  You would be amazed at what recovery is possible though.  We'll keep you in our thoughts.  Godspeed.
