In December 2013 we launched a new Bitcoin based lottery called Block Chain Lottery. It doesn't have a big jackpot (yet), but this was never the intention. It's true that it is one of many lotteries, but it is the product of trying to build something with Bitcoin to better understand it. Most of all we want to apply this knowledge to other ideas we have. Anyhow, it does exists now and we hope people like playing it. This tread is mostly intended for answering any questions, reporting bugs, and for giving feedback. Features: - Fully automated and does only depends on the block chain.
- Two kinds of lotteries are available. A fixed size lottery and a progressive lottery. (Fixed size is not yet in place.)
- Provably fair, tickets can be checked with only data from the block chain.
- Funds to cover the prices can be found on the site.
- Tickets appear on the site after one confirmation plus a maximum of ten minutes. Prices are paid once a day.
- Only 1mBTC per ticket.

In addition to Lottery 1, which is a progressive lottery with automatic generated numbers, a second progressive lottery is implemented. Lottery 2 features: - Progressive lottery
- Choose your own number between 1 and 65536 to play with by adding it to the ticket price.
- To play with the number 435 send 0.001 BTC + 0.00000435 BTC = 0.00100435 BTC to the 1BCL2ccUwEF92JpyPp7WG4rC4VuGRBGCKr.
So the range is 0.00100001 BTC - 0.00165536 BTC. If 0.00100000 BTC is send, then a number is generated for you. - Prices depend on how many places are right. For example:
- 43956 is the number you're playing with.
- 39733 is the winning number, then there are zero places right which means no price.
- 39933 is the winning number, then there is one place right which means no price.
- 39936 is the winning number, then there are two places right which means a price of 1 mBTC.
- 49936 is the winning number, then there are three places right which means a price of whatever is contained in that price pool.
- 49956 is the winning number, then there are four places right which means a price of whatever is contained in that price pool.
- 43956 is the winning number, then there are five places right which means a price of whatever is contained in the jackpot.
- The chances of winning are:
----------------- | ----------------- | ------------ | Places Right | Percentage | Ratio | ----------------- | ----------------- | ------------ | 2 | 8.46% | 1:12 | 3 | 1.02% | 1:98 | 4 | 0.061% | 1:1639 | 5 | 0.0015% | 1:65536 | ----------------- | ----------------- | ------------ |

Thanks, did you try it already? Do you also review lotteries? What is your incentive to do those reviews?

You can easily look up your tickets now. Just use the transaction ID in the search bar to find it. It will show your ticket's number, and if and what you have won.

How much of a house edge is there on this?
Of every ticket: 29% goes to '3 places right' 29% goes to '4 places right' 20% goes to the jackpot 18% is to fill up the price money again if someone has won - '3 places right' starts with 10mBTC
- '4 places right' starts with 100mBTC
- jackpot starts with 1000mBTC
2% to pay for fees and finally the house edge is 2%
