Hats off to CoinTap for the launch of their Bitcoin gift cards, a convenient way to buy bitcoins that puts them right in front of the eyes of average consumers. Thanks a bunch to the Epoch Times for mentioning The Bitcoin Co-op and our hard work promoting Bitcoin.

It's actually cheaper than I would have expected. I don't see why it's a terrible deal. It could be especially good for people who want to buy bitcoins anonymously.

You can use Local Bitcoins or personal connections. Drunk people on the Granville strip are another story. We can put CoinTap cards in frequented convenience stores, and knowledge of Bitcoin will spread.

Whether or not the execution is good, I really like the fact companies like this are helping bitcoin get real-world precence.

And about the 10% fee, don't forget that for n00bs, this is a really easy way to enter into the world of bitcoin. Not bad at all!
