I'm looking to sell my basically brand new 5970. It was bought off newegg about a week or two ago and I only used it once to make sure it worked. I tested overclocking it for about a minute at 850/300 and it worked perfectly.

One of these cards can easily pull 800+ megahash a sec. It's competition the 6990 can easily go for 850+ bucks so a 5970 is the way to go if your looking for mass megahash with little bulk.

I'm looking for bitcoins or cash. My asking price is $425 and this includes shipping to continental us.

Let me know if your interested.

No they're not? Newegg doesn't even have any 5970's for sale. I'd like you to point out any place currently selling them at 500.

That doesn't mean they are getting any more. A company that makes custom rigs went out of business and sold their stock. Now that newegg has sold all of the ones they purchased they most likely wont get anymore ever. Especially when you consider the 7xxx series is coming out soon which is two generations newer.

In stock again. My suggestion is to hold on to it and use it for mining. Maybe if BTC prices go up and 5970 availabilty goes down you'll get $500 for it, but they have been available in large quantities on multiple sites  for the past few weeks.

I've figure I still have a shot at 500 in btc. I mean going through me is cheaper then it would be to go through bit egg. I'm honestly surprised newegg got more. Until yesterday morning the price for a 5970 was 600 on any site.
