Is it 3btc a month or 2btc a week like the topic title?   Were you in such a hurry to post that you forgot what you were doing?

Please don't ask for donations - it is a good way to get your topic moved to the trash can.   Wink

Hmm.. let say that You will sell 3BTC for 1800$.. wow.. in some countries people have to live with 18$/month but ok, this is extreme. I'll pick country from EU - in some there is average wage 500$/month (average, some got less) and they still live normal lives even able to feed their children (if they have some). So whats the point? Or You are just spoiled and for You are 1800$/month some challenge?  Tongue (no offence ofc..)

But isn't $2400 not a horrible amount to live off of? You should stretch it out for more than a month. You probably won't die before then.
Here's a tip sell some of those BTC for USD exchangeable in a great deal of locations for this gs like housing and food.
Here's a link to Coinbase https://coinbase.com/?r=5165cc3441261bafe8000001&utm_campaign=user-referral&src=referral-link . Stop begging for our money and sell some of yours.

I think he means living by purely trading Bitcoins which would be a bit more difficult to be fair but the thing is any of us would just sell or re-invest portions for paper money so we could spend it freely, no point in putting silly restrictions on yourself, we already know we're not at the point where you can pay your utility bills in Bitcoin or anything like that but that still doesn't mean they're useless, far from it, in this age of hyperinflation they're the most useful tool in the world, especially for startups like me.

The utility bills and daily food might be issue to buy directly with Bitcoin.

I think the people who think living off 3 BTC a month is easy have never been to San Francisco.  Do people even realize how much more expensive things are in affluent cities? Food alone would be half of that - toss in a few other expenses, and bam, you've already spent 3 BTC.

I think the challenge here has more to do with actually finding ways to live on things you buy with BTC, rather than trying to maintain a budget.

I avoid the idea of even staying in affluent cities precisely because of how ridiculous everything is, if you want the worst example I can think of in the UK look at London and the prices there, the housing prices in particular are just pure stupidity, I think most people who work there at least just live on the outskirts and travel in rather than bother with the spiked living costs that happen if you live in the centre.
