One guy is asking me to connect to btc guild under his bitcoin address so he can monitor it running for an hour to see how it works. Is there a way he can hijack my machine to always mine from there on out? Is there anyway I could get screwed by letting the machine mine under his info in the pool? It sounds sketchy.

Let me know what you guys think.

I think he just wanna check out the performance of the miner that you are going to sell.

No way he could hijack your miner. After all, the physical miner is with you. You can change the settings, etc on your end unless your network is unsecure and he changes your network password or something, in which case, you could just switch off your miner.

Nope,
It is perfectly ok,
he just want to see if miner is ok and if you're not a scamer.
There is no way to "hack" or "hijack" your miner, lol Cheesy
And always use escrow Smiley

Nah, you'll just be mining for him for a bit that's all. Of course use common sense! If he tells you to let it running for a week or something unreal. Say "no" to him. I would hook it up his address let it run no more then 15 minutes.

(edit)
What are you selling? The mining rig Specs I mean....

The only thing he can hijack is the free bitcoin your miner is mining for him.

He can't hijack your machine - all he can do is "steal" your mining power by asking you to mine for him for an hour.

I post for interest - not signature spam.
