In terms of stability Litecoin is a relatively safe investment — as far as crypto goes, that is. Very quick transaction times and low fees and widely traded on exchanges.

Never gets the media exposure of Bitcoin but is one of the few truly legitimate coins.

as far as what i've seen on the market and on this forum, ethereum is currently dominating this year but i'm still doing my own research about it cause i am also looking forward on investing my own money on it and ethereum is one of my choices.

Doge coin has the most friendly charitable community. It also has all the effective mining power of Litecoin which is not the other way round.

Onion and Waves, by far. These are real coins, with HARD WORK, they have a great future and they are undervalued for now.

Be careful with coins that has nothing but marketing/speculation. Doge, for example, has no update since 2015; Tron has a code "not friendly"; Bitconnect is a pyramid scheme (actually, this is already out of the game  ).

The real community (not newbies) knows exactly how to identify a good and promise coin and a shitcoin. Be careful.

With Doge coin, its price is low now so I often earn it free by entering captcha on some websites and wait until it is increased

Dogecoin is pretty cool! Not sure it can bring a looooot in the future but hey if it's at least something - it's good already
I actually learned about it on cointelegraph youtube channel. they have a very cool section of videos 'altcoins of the week' so once it was published about dogecoin. Check it out! There are more videos about more coins too

I like Etherium but there's a coin that I do like a lot - BurstCoin!

It is mined by hard drives, so it surely it one of a kind - unfortunately its value is still very low. So far I haven't started mining it, but am planning to do so pretty soon,

In my opinion, the coin that will give bitcoin a run for its money is Ethereum.
