Bloodbath in the Faroe Islands.

Confirmed total: 145 pilot whales killed today in the first Faroe Island hunt of 2018.

These hunts could and should be stopped immediately. Although self-governing, the Faroe Islands are part of the Kingdom of Denmark - Denmark is part of the EU - pilot whales are protected in the EU. If that's not enough, the meat of pilot whales is contaminated with mercury. Even as a health and safety issue, this hunt is idiocy.

A big whale eats 3000 kilos to 30,000 kilos of fish/sardines in one lunch. Too many whales means less fish in the seas/oceans

I have no problem with this as long as the entire whale is eaten and used by the people.  The issue I have is with the trophy hunters that kill only for sport.
